FAQs

Got Questions?

We’ve got answers.

Yes. Anyone writing for the public needs an editor. Best-selling authors, professors, speakers and even small businesses need editors. It is a good practice to establish before releasing any work into the world.

That would depend on how clean your manuscript is and the route you want to take for publication. We can help you determine what you need with a sample edit. You can reach out to us through our contact us form.

The first way to ensure your work remains secure is to vet the potential editor prior to hiring them by scheduling a virtual coffee, asking questions and ensuring they have a contract. In the case of Global Bookworms, we include a clause in our contract which specifically protects your work. You can also register your work with the copyright office.

We may add your book to our recent projects section on the Home page of our website and on our social media, once it is ready for publication, but if you are not comfortable with that we have a designated space where you can opt out of these promotions in our contract.

The editing cost of any project is determined by multiple factors: the genre, word count of the entire manuscript, the service or services purchased, the intensity of editing required, and the experience of the editor.

We understand hiring a professional editor is not a cheap endeavor, that is why we offer fair pricing for the work accomplished and payment plan options. Our goal when you hire us is to ensure your one-time investment with us lasts the lifetime of your book.

We offer every type of editing you might need to publish your manuscript and offer discounts when you bundle services together. You can choose one of our ready-made bundles or customize what you need. Either way, it’s discounted for you.

Our standard payment plan breaks up the project cost, half up front and half when the job is done. When your payments have been processed they will stay in the third party account until the editing phase has been completed and your manuscript sent back to you. Our other payment plan options follow similar procedures.

We accept payments through GPay, CashApp, Venmo, and PayPal.

Though we have had the privilege of working with other genres, ranging from YA fiction, middle-grade educational fiction and early readers, some genres we do not know the source material well enough to be able to provide you with our best work. However, our list of accepted genres is not all encompassing, so feel free to contact us.
